If you're entering grades 1-12, here's your chance to be on the stage! Join us for our week long day camp. You'll be working with professionals from Missoula Children's Theatre, area educators and volunteer group leaders to stage a production with sets and costumes. There is a part for everyone and the chance to appear on The Ritz stage! This summer you will be in the play Robin Hood!
The time is simply long ago and the place is the magical, mythical Sherwood Forest. Our hero, Robin Hood, and his Merry Band of colorful characters seek the help of the Foresters, manage to waylay the Aristocrats and set out to rescue Maid Marion and Marion’s Maid. Prince John tries to stay calm as his Sheriff, guards and horsemen botch Robin’s arrest thanks to the aromatic Skunks. Wacky humor and an original score add to this fresh new look at a legendary outlaw in a legendary time. The play was conceived and written by Michael McGill.
Summer Theatre Camp at The Ritz is a week-long day camp which, in addition to the production, includes age-appropriate workshops in music, story-telling, puppetry, improvisation and other activities related to the performing arts. Every camper gets a role in the play and a chance to experience live theatre while making new friends.
The registration fee for the week is $130.
