One of America’s oldest active vocal groups has been bringing a jazz sensibility to the classic American songbook in their own special way for 75 years. With a tight four-part vocal blend, sort-of-like barbershop, but harmonically similar to jazz, The Four Freshmen deliver a fresh take on every tune from swingin’ up-tempo arrangements that make a quartet feel like a big band to dreamy crooner-style ballads. The Freshmen sound, both classic and sophisticated, yet young and hip, is equally adept at winding back the clock for older audience members as it is at entrancing younger members.
