If you’re in grades K – 11 now, here’s your chance to be on the “Stage.” Join us for our week-long day camp. You’ll be working with professionals from Missoula Children’s Theatre, area educators and volunteer group leaders to stage a production of Beauty Lou & the Country Beast with professional sets and costumes. There’s a part for everyone and the chance to be on stage at The Ritz.
Open registration begins Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 10:00 am and forms will not be accepted prior to that time. Space is limited and availability varies based on grade level. Register in person on March 21 from 10 am to 1 pm. Phone, fax & mail orders will be accepted and processed starting at noon on March 21. Please submit a completed registration form and $150 payment at time of registration. We’ll get you signed up for the most fun you’ll have all summer.
In addition to the play, The Ritz will provide workshops for each age group (Grades 1-2; 3-4; 5-7; 8-12) when the campers are not in rehearsal. These workshops, led by local professionals and educators, can include lessons in make-up, story-telling, puppetry, improvisation, dance and other activities related to the performing arts. Campers are expected to attend all scheduled camp times and performance times.
For over 20 years, The Ritz has partnered with Missoula Children’s Theatre. MCT is the premier internationally-renowned touring children’s theatre program whose mission is to provide the development of life skills through participation in the performing arts. Scripts are structured specifically for the tour’s short rehearsal period, and recognize the needs of the individual child. Major roles are large, complex and challenging; ensemble parts emphasize unison songs, actions and movements. Every Camper gets a part!
