Obstacle Corpse
Saturday, August 19, 2023 – 7:00 PM
Admission $5
Obstacle Corpse is the tale of lovably cranky Sunny and her quest to prove her mettle to her dad (and, ultimately, herself) in an obstacle course race that goes totally insane! Like, The Warriors meets Saw insane. It’s muddy. It’s bloody. It puts the laugh in slaughter. And it’s surprisingly sweet and uplifting … in its own way.
Hope Madden graduated from Calvert High School in 1989. She ran track (poorly) in her days at St. Mary’s elementary school (mighty Trotters!) because her dad was the coach and he made her. Surely that’s not why her first feature film contains so much carnage on a racecourse!
After graduating from Ohio State, Hope began reviewing films for the now defunct but much beloved The Other Paper. Her reviews are now carried on maddwolf.com as well as Rotten Tomatoes, Columbus Underground, UK Film Review, Ginger Nuts of Horror, Veboli and many radio station websites. She and her husband George Wolf host two podcasts, the weekly Screening Room, covering new movie reviews, and the bi-monthly Fright Club, which dives into horror movies.
