Summer Camp
Registration for Summer Camp 2024 began March 16, 2024. As of March 19, we only have openings in Week 1 and Week 2 for kids entering grades 1 or 2 in the fall, and for Assistant Directors (grades 7-12).
Summer Camp dates are June 10-15, 2024 and June 17-22, 2024.
If you are in grades 1 – 12, here is your chance to be on the Stage. Join us for our week-long day camp. You will be working with professionals from Missoula Children’s Theatre, area educators and volunteer group leaders to stage a production of an original production with professional sets and costumes. This year’s production is Pinocchio!. There is a part for everyone!
Open registration begins Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Space is limited and availability varies based on grade level. Campers will be limited to participation in only one of the two weeks. For over 20 years, The Ritz has partnered with Missoula Children’s Theatre. MCT is the premier internationally renowned touring children’s theatre program whose mission is to provide the development of life skills through participation in the performing arts. Scripts are structured specifically for the Tours short rehearsal period and recognize the needs of the individual child. Major roles are large, complex, and challenging; ensemble parts emphasize unison songs, actions and movements. Every Camper gets a part!
In addition to the play, The Ritz will provide workshops for each age group (Grades 1-2; 3-4; 5-7; 8-12) when the campers are not in rehearsal. These workshops, led by local professionals and educators, can include lessons in make-up, storytelling, puppetry, improvisation, dance and other activities related to the performing arts.
